The HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the backbone of the Web. Without it there are no Web sites. In this introductory class, learn what HTML is, how it works, and how -- teamed with its sister language, Cascading StyleSheets (CSS) --how to construct online content. Students will learn the basics of tags and proper coding syntax, as they develop strong skills for creating effective, reliable Web sites.

Students should have a general understanding of file organization/management and the Internet before enrolling in this class.
